PAKISTAN - FRENCH NATIONAL K2 EXPEDITION, 8 611 meters.
Along the west/south-west ridge of the K2, from the Sunday, June 10th, 1979 to November 4th, 1979.
In company of Bernard Mellet (in charge of the expedition), Dominique Chaix (doctor), Daniel Monaci,
Yannick Seigneur, Jean Coudray, Jean-Claude Mosca, Maurice Barrard, Pierre Beghin,
Patrick Cordier, Xavier Fargeas, Yvon Ghirardini, Marc Galy, Thierry Leroy.
On September 6th, 1979, Jean-Marc Boivin breaks the world record of hang-glider jump height, taking off from an altitude 7 600 m (camp IV), followed by a 13-minutes flight to the base camp, 2 600 meters below the summit.

On February 3rd, 1981, Jean-Marc Boivin and Dominique Marchal break the world record
for hang-glider jump height, their biplace taking off from the summit of the Aconcagua, at an altitude of 7 021 meters.

February 21st, 1984 : first ascent in the Amazionian rainforest of the southern spur of the
Aratitiyope peak (the ara parrot mountain), 1 650 meters of rock-climbing by Jean-Marc Boivin
and Dominique Marchal.

PAKISTAN - EXPEDITION AT THE GASHERBRUM II, 8 035 meters.
With François Diaferia and Michel Poencet (mountain guides), Toru Nakano (photographer and
alpinist), Laurent Chevallier and Bernard Prud'homme (alpinistes and cameraman).
From Tuesday, May 29th, 1985 to August 3rd, 1985.
June 24th, 1985 : Toru Nakano fall to his death on the way to campII. He would be later buried on August 9th, 1985 in Chamonix.
July 8th, 1985 : first ascent by the group to the summit, and return to base camp.
Second solo ascent of Jean-Marc from base camp to the summit
in 16 hours, between July 13th, 1985 in the evening and July 14th, 1985 at noon.
On July 14th 1985 : Jean-Marc Boivin breaks the world record of hang-glider jump height as
he takes off from the summit of the Gasherbrum

On the 15th of December 1986, Jean-Marc Boivin breaks the world altitude and precision record for the parachute landing at the summit of the RITA CUBA NORTE, at an altitude of 5 200 meters,
after a parachute jump from an altitude of 7 000 meters.

Part of the team reaches the Everest summit on Monday September26th,
1988 at 2.30pm: Jean-Pierre Frachon, André Georges and Michel Metzger
(without the use of oxygen), Jean-Marc Boivin, Gérard Vionnet-Fuasset and 2 sherpas.
On Monday, September the 26th, 1988, Jean-Marc Boivin takes off paraglided from the summit
of mount Everest down to Camp II, thus breaking the world record for paraglide jump height.
